Love WINs’ Impact
Love WINs is a free and voluntary home visitation program offered by VNA to families residing in Douglas and Sarpy counties. It is designed for pregnant and parenting teens and young adults 25 years and younger, with extended eligibility criteria for immigrant and refugee parents of all ages.
Each family has an assigned public health nurse and parent coach who offer education on pregnancy, maternal and child health, child development, parenting strategies, and overall family well-being. Staff partner with parents to create personalized short and long-term goals, and families are often linked to community partner agencies for concrete resources and support. Additionally, families can attend regular socialization events facilitated by Love WINs staff to increase families’ social support systems. Enrollment in the program occurs during pregnancy or early childhood, and services are offered for two years.
