VNA is one of the area’s largest providers of IV therapy in the home. Our program enables you to receive your prescribed infusion medications in the comfort and privacy of home, with the support of VNA’s state-of-the-art nursing and pharmacy services.

VNA healthcare professionals take a holistic approach to patient care, combining experienced infusion specialists with a care management team that treats the whole person. You will receive the right treatment plan from a skilled team of experts, which includes a pharmacist, infusion trained and certified registered nurse, infectious disease nurse, registered dietitian, IV therapy reimbursement specialist, and a clinical care leader. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; patients are admitted within 24 hours of referral.

Keeping You Involved and Informed

A VNA clinician will visit you before you are discharged from the hospital to fully assess your needs and develop a specially designed in-home IV therapy plan in conjunction with your physician.

A plan of care will include your prognosis along with prescribed medications, type of infusion and expected duration of care. You and your caregiver will walk through each step of the plan and will be provided with written training material to ensure you clearly understand your therapy routine in preparation for daily living with as much independence as possible.

VNA’s on-site infusion pharmacy enables us to provide a unique coordination of care. Our IV therapy program includes:
